It can be arises from sample place to sample place too much foam.
This can have different causes (temperature, pressure, etc.). Foaming which is too high may have a negative effect on the sampling.
The foam could overflow in the vacu-compens, then growth problems can arise. The foam formation can be greatly reduced by filling the bottle from the ground.
This has been solved with an autoclavable hose with inlet funnel.
